A Little Cosmetic Therapy

 

Today is kindof a "blah" day for me. I don't feel great, woke up on the wrong side of the bed, and I'm just not in a fantastic mood.

 

However...

 

I did get new makeup last week. So I decided to try out a new product today.

And BAM! Just like that I'm in a good mood again.

:-)

 

This is my new lipstick.

It's from the Color Statement line by Milani and the shade I'm wearing is called Red Label.

 

I. Love. It.

Did I mention it was a bargain? It was.
CVS had a sale on Milani lip products last week.
It was only $3.69 with $2 ExtraBucks Rewards.
That's like getting this baby for $1.69...
And that makes me love it even more!

 

I have two other shades from that line I still have to try.

I love how the weirdest things can be pick-me-ups!

I LOVE THIS BABY!!

Seriously.

She is the sweetest and most adorable little human ever.

When I found out my sister was pregnant, I wanted it to be a boy SO BAD I couldn't stand it.

But God knew what He was doing.




Because 4 months after Ellie was born...

Cameron Lee Hicks came along! My husband's sister had this handsome little feller November 28, 2012. He is so very sweet and wonderful and I absolutely love him to pieces!

We are so blessed to have a niece and a nephew we both adore SO MUCH! We are always so happy to be around them and we can't wait to watch them grow up.

Hhmm... Now I can't think of anything other than those awesome babies!

First. Blog. Ever.

So...this is what I look like today.
Totally diggin my eye makeup...super simple and then BAM! Bright purple waterline.
I also curled my hair and pinned my bangs 

back for a simple but still kinda pretty look.
Stone Elementary tshirt...reppin' my alma mater ;-)

I threw together this makeup look pretty quickly with just a handful of products, other than foundation, bronzer, mascara and all that.
I used the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, the UD Deluxe Shadow Box, and the UD 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Ransom.
Apparently it's an Urban Decay kinda day y'all.

The colors I used on my lid are Foxy (all over), Half Baked (center of the lid), and Tease (crease). Very easy. I didn't use a highlight or any eyeliner on the upper lash line.

 

Which brings me to my LOWER lashline...

I lined the waterline with the 24/7 pencil in Ransom and then popped the shadow called Ransom on top of it for some bright and colorful contrast on this rainy, gloomy day.

I love this cheery look!

Now to decide what to eat at the Chinese restaurant with the hubsband :-)
